The Nation is Lahore-based English-language newspaper in Pakistan.[1] It is published by Majid Nizami and currently edited by Saleem Bukhari. Arif Nizami, who was the first editor, was replaced by Shireen Mazari, who edited the paper for just over a year.
The The Nation is owned by a media group with it's roots dating to 1940 when Nawa-i-Waqt was formed. The Nation was launched in 1986 and is internationally the most quoted Pakistani newspaper.[3] The Nation rivals two Karachi-based dailies, Dawn and The News International.
